Hyun Shin-kyun Meets Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud
Plans to Build Customized Generative AI Services for Clients
LG CNS is diversifying its cloud-based AI transformation (AX) business in the Asia-Pacific and Americas regions in collaboration with Google Cloud.
LG CNS announced on the 15th that President Shin-kyun Hyun recently met with Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, and Karan Bajwa, Head of Google Cloud Asia-Pacific, at the 'Google Cloud Next 2025' event held in Las Vegas, USA, to strengthen cooperation.

The two companies will enhance AX business collaboration across all industries. LG CNS will combine its cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technology capabilities, industry expertise, and IT service competencies with Google Cloud’s generative AI and cloud solutions. Through this, they plan to assist enterprise customers in the Asia-Pacific and Americas regions in adopting AI. Utilizing Google’s AI model 'Gemini' and Google Cloud’s enterprise AI platform 'Vertex AI,' they aim to build hundreds of generative AI services applicable to various industries.
In particular, LG CNS is targeting to lead the AX market in healthcare and bio sectors. According to the Korea Bio Association, the global digital healthcare market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of over 20%, reaching approximately KRW 2,400 trillion by 2033. LG CNS plans to continue its collaboration with Google Cloud in this field as well. For example, they can develop AI agents that provide insights from pharmaceutical data or services that predict protein structures to aid new drug development.
In October last year, LG CNS became the first company in Asia to receive Google Cloud’s 'Generative AI Specialist' certification. The company holds a total of five specialist certifications, including ▲cloud transformation ▲infrastructure ▲data analytics ▲machine learning. It was also selected as Korea’s service partner for two consecutive years at the 'Google Cloud Partner Awards 2024.'
Hyun Shin-kyun, President of LG CNS, said, "LG CNS is an AX specialist company with generative AI technology capabilities across various business sectors. We plan to expand our AX business to the Asia-Pacific and Americas regions in cooperation with Google Cloud and become the leading player in the healthcare and bio AX markets."
Jigi Seong, President of Google Cloud Korea, said, "Google Cloud provides the most open cloud in the industry and is committed to accelerating customers’ digital transformation. Through the expanding partnership with AI, LG CNS will be able to develop new capabilities that create operational improvements and tangible value for healthcare businesses based on Google Cloud infrastructure."
