Nowon-gu Expands New Experience Facilities at Bulamsan Deoureosoop Survival Game

Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it has expanded the experiential facilities within 'Bulgamsan Deobureo Forest,' an extreme sports facility in the forest. This is to support the healthy growth of adolescents through leisure and play.

Reopened last year, 'Bulgamsan Deobureo Forest' operates various customized experiential programs such as Forest Adventure, Zipline, and Laser Survival Game to increase the interest of adolescents, for whom physical activity is very important.

The newly established Net Play (Sky Net) is a play area using nets of various heights. Using domestically produced nets, safety and thrill are ensured through tension adjustment. In addition, steel pillar materials were applied to make it sturdy and semi-permanent, and it can accommodate up to 40 people at once.

The survival game increased the number of hiding spots from 15 to 25 and replaced paintball and BB bullets with a safe 'Laser Tag' method. The laser tag method uses vests equipped with sensors and laser guns to safely conduct the game without physical contact.

Also, the LCD screen attached to the gun allows real-time score changes to be checked, enhancing participants' immersion and enjoyment, and effectively eliminating disputes over winning or losing.

Currently, the experience center operates by accepting advance phone reservations from groups such as schools. Starting July 1, an online/offline system will be prepared to allow the general public to purchase tickets on-site without reservations. Detailed information such as usage fees for each program will be announced later on the district office website.

The district is operating various spaces to support healthy physical activities and sound play culture for adolescents. Notably, the Nohae Youth Sports Facility, opened in October last year, features a 2,000㎡ X-Games field?the first of its kind in northeastern Seoul?along with basketball courts, futsal fields, and multipurpose courts. Additionally, a youth hangout equipped with facilities such as an e-sports zone, dance room, photo and music studios has been established to lead a healthy play and rest culture for adolescents.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "Research shows that expanding opportunities for play and leisure activities is an important factor in increasing adolescents' happiness." He added, "We will do our best to expand play and leisure activities and promote various physical activities so that adolescents can nurture their bodies and minds healthily for a happy life."
