From Life-cycle Education to History and Cultural Experiences:
A Variety of Customized Programs Offered
Enhancing Parenting Capabilities and Supporting the Stable Settlement of Multicultural Families
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is operating various customized educational programs, including life-cycle parent education and history and cultural experience programs, to support the stable settlement and healthy family life of multicultural families.
First, the 'Life-cycle Parent Education' program aims to enhance parenting capabilities according to the child's growth stage and promote better family relationships. It consists of ▲Life-cycle Parent Education (for pregnant women, infants and toddlers, childhood, school age) ▲Couple Relationship Improvement Education ▲Parent-Child Emotional Experience Activities, and will be held a total of 22 sessions across 6 themes from the 13th, starting with 'School-age Parent Education (Upper Grades Edition)' until October. Each session will be flexibly conducted in indoor and outdoor spaces of the Jungnang-gu Family Center according to the theme.
Additionally, there is a 'Multicultural Family History and Cultural Experience Program' where families can participate together to learn about the history and culture of the Republic of Korea. Utilizing various historical and cultural resources inside and outside the region, the program is designed to help participants understand Korean society and strengthen family bonds. Since its launch in 2023, this program has received high satisfaction from participants and will be expanded to two cohorts starting in 2025, including experiential activities such as ▲Mangwoo History and Culture Park Exploration ▲Jungnang-gu Institution Exploration ▲History Golden Bell Quiz.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, "We will continue to provide various educational and experiential opportunities so that multicultural families can settle stably in Korean society and strengthen communication and bonds within families. Jungnang-gu will take the lead in establishing a foundation where multicultural families can grow together with the local community."
