China's Ministry of Commerce and five other departments have launched the 'Shopping in China' (購在中國) campaign to boost consumption and expand domestic demand, according to a report by China's Jiemian News on the 14th.
The Chinese authorities announced the notice on organizing and implementing the 'Shopping in China' campaign at the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo, which opened on the 13th in Hainan Province and will run until the 18th.
Through this initiative, key pedestrian streets, shopping malls, and supermarkets will conduct promotional activities and support the launch of new and high-quality products.
Additionally, various gourmet markets and food ingredient expos will provide gourmet guides or introduce famous culinary spots, and several premium tourism routes will be launched.
The plan also includes attracting excellent domestic and international performances as well as high-quality sports and cultural relic exhibitions.
China aims to promote the deep integration of commerce, tourism, culture, and sports to further unleash consumption potential and enhance China's appeal as a consumer market.
