Na: "We Must Properly Establish Liberal Democracy"
Lee Myung-bak: "I Highly Appreciate Your Leadership in Difficult Times"
Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party challenging the presidential primary, paid a visit to former President Lee Myung-bak on the 14th. Na expressed her determination for the presidential election, saying, "We must properly establish liberal democracy," to which the former president responded, "You are qualified."
On the same day, Na met with the former president at the Lee Myung-bak Foundation in Yeongpo Building, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and said, "After the president was impeached, I felt that we failed to protect the values of our party more than failing to protect our camp's president."

She continued, "The beef candlelight protests showed their power, and afterward, both former Presidents Park Geun-hye and Yoon Seok-youl were impeached," explaining, "If the process of shaking and impeaching presidents repeats, I believe South Korea will not be strong."
She then mentioned her reason for running, saying, "The first thing is to uphold the constitutional values," and added, "I gathered the courage with the thought that South Korea will develop further by properly establishing liberal democracy, market economy, and the rule of law."
In response, the former president told Na, "I highly appreciate your efforts to take the lead in this difficult situation," and said, "You are more qualified than anyone else to advocate for constitutional values."
The former president added, "I hope the People Power Party shows a new image through the primary," and said, "While holding the primary, everyone should actively participate, and once the results come out, everyone must accept them."
After concluding the conversation with the former president, Na told reporters about the 'Han Deok-su draft theory,' saying, "(Han Deok-su, Acting President and Prime Minister) has not mentioned whether he will run," and added, "Therefore, I think there is no need to respond based on the assumption that he will run."
Earlier, Na also appeared on YTN Radio on the same day and expressed a negative stance on the ongoing speculation about Han Deok-su's candidacy, saying, "We shake things up demanding candidates to come out, and the opposition party shakes things up threatening to impeach the acting president. How can the country do well like this?"
