"One-Click Service" Offers Simple Refund Feature
Supports Comprehensive Income Tax Filing Agency Service in Collaboration with Tax Accountants
The Korea Association of Tax Accountants has launched the tax support platform app "Gukmin-ui Saemusa" (People's Tax Accountant).
According to the Korea Association of Tax Accountants on the 14th, this app is a service where tax accountants assist taxpayers such as self-employed individuals, small business owners, and freelancers with tax-related tasks. Once the taxpayer verifies their identity, they can retrieve income amounts without accessing Hometax, enter deduction items such as dependents, and check total income and deduction amounts, allowing the tax accountant to file the tax return on their behalf.
Ahead of the comprehensive income tax filing period in May, the "Gukmin-ui Saemusa" app enables easier and more accurate filing. Users can view refund details for up to five years and complete refund applications in a one-stop process. While the National Tax Service's recently launched comprehensive income tax refund service "One-Click Service" only includes a simple refund function, Gukmin-ui Saemusa supports comprehensive income tax filing agency services in connection with tax accountants.
Following the launch of the private platform "SamjjeomSam" and the National Tax Service's own "One-Click" service, the Korea Association of Tax Accountants has also joined, intensifying competition among comprehensive income tax refund platforms.
Gu Jae-i, president of the Korea Association of Tax Accountants, stated, "Until now, tax accountants have mainly managed taxes centered on bookkeeping firms, but through the 'Gukmin-ui Saemusa' app, even small business owners can receive tax assistance from certified professionals, which is meaningful."
Earlier, the National Tax Service emphasized that unlike private services charging 10-20% fees, the "One-Click" comprehensive income tax refund service launched at the end of last month is completely free to use. Additionally, regarding the surge in refund applications due to platforms like SamjjeomSam, they added that they will review cases of excessive refunds.
