Sunchang-gun to Hold Yangjicheon Photo Contest from August 4 to 29

Theme: "Falling in Love with Yangjicheon in All Four Seasons"

Sunchang County in North Jeolla Province will hold the 1st Sunchang County Yangjicheon Photo Contest in 2025.

According to the county on the 14th, this contest is organized under the theme "Falling in Love with Yangjicheon in All Four Seasons" to widely promote the diverse beauty of Yangjicheon in Sunchang-eup.

The contest theme includes spring flowers such as phlox, daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms, and nightscapes along Yangjicheon and Gyeongcheon. Any fresh and beautiful scenery that helps enhance the image of Sunchang County is also eligible.

Entries will be accepted from August 4 to 29, and anyone interested in Sunchang County can participate regardless of region or age. Especially now, with spring flowers like phlox, tulips, and daffodils in full bloom around Yangjicheon, it is the perfect time for participants to prepare their works in advance.

Those wishing to participate can download the application form from the county office or the Sunchang County Culture and Tourism website, fill it out, and submit it along with their work either in person (to the Culture and Tourism Department at the county office) or by email.

The awards include a grand prize for one individual (or team) with a trophy and 2 million KRW, a top excellence award for one individual (or team) with 1 million KRW, excellence awards for three individuals (or teams) with 500,000 KRW each, and honorable mentions for 35 individuals (or teams) with 100,000 KRW each. In total, 40 individuals (or teams) across four categories will receive 8 million KRW in prize money.

The results will be announced individually and on the county website after judging in September. The winning works will be actively used as promotional materials for Sunchang County at various events, promotional activities, and on official social media channels.
