Official Screening Held at House of Music Hungary, Drawing Enthusiastic Response
The Virtual Convergence College of Chung-Ang University announced on the 14th that it held the 'Immersive Beats; 360 MUSIC VIDEO Joint Hackathon' at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Hungary from the 4th to the 9th.

This event was the first global hackathon conducted between Korean and Hungarian universities, completing an immersive 360-degree music video based on music created with generative AI through an intensive six-day production process. Notably, the hackathon showcased the results in a hemispherical 360-degree space that maximized immersion, and held an official screening at the 'House of Music Hungary' museum, a landmark in Budapest, Hungary, drawing significant attention.
The screening was attended by Hong Gyudeok, the Korean Ambassador to Hungary, Yoo Hyeryeong, Director of the Korean Cultural Center, key figures from MOME University, and general viewers, who all showed enthusiastic responses.
The 20 students from both countries who participated in the hackathon started with music production using generative AI and then created 360-degree video content based on it. In particular, the students presented a harmony of original soundtracks created with generative AI technology and highly immersive visual effects, along with 360-degree production techniques optimized for the hemispherical screen.
Despite the short six-day schedule, the immersive content demonstrated technical completeness and artistic expression, leaving a deep impression on all attendees and viewers. The completed 360-degree immersive music video will be released later on the Virtual Convergence College website of Chung-Ang University.
Wi Jeonghyun, Dean of the Virtual Convergence College, said, "This hackathon was the first Korea-Hungary joint hackathon held in Europe, proving that university students can actively utilize generative AI to create high-quality content," adding, "We will continue education on content and app production using various AI tools, and plan to expand educational programs with multiple European universities based in Hungary."
Meanwhile, the Virtual Convergence College of Chung-Ang University previously successfully carried out the 'Attrative Laos' XR tourism content production project in Laos, and through this Hungary hackathon, laid the groundwork to expand the global XR content cooperation model to Europe.
