On the 14th, Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will expand the 'Community-Based Safety Management Project' by increasing the installation of CCTVs and strengthening related education to ensure citizen safety.
In the field of crime prevention and safety, the city will establish a 24/7 safety management system throughout the year by operating day and night disaster safety control rooms and installing an additional 100 disaster and crime prevention CCTVs. In the disaster sector, the city will operate disaster text message dispatch and on-site communication control to quickly relay disaster information to citizens during emergency situations. The city plans to focus on minimizing damage by establishing a systematic communication network with disaster sites.
In the area of safety information provision, the city operates 'Citizen Safety Information' on the city hall website. This information provides 19 related details including emergency bells, hospitals and clinics, pharmacies, civil defense shelters, and automated external defibrillators. To ensure accuracy and up-to-date information, the city will continue to conduct comprehensive surveys and promptly guide new information.
The city also plans to concentrate its efforts on raising citizens' safety awareness through lifecycle safety education, continuously identifying vulnerable groups for safety education, and providing outreach safety education.
