Hwaseong-si "Learn Baking from Bakery Owners"

Recruitment of Participants for 'Our Neighborhood Rice Bread Bakery Baking Education' Until the 18th

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting trainees for the '2025 Our Neighborhood Rice Bread Bakery Baking Education' to promote the consumption of domestic rice from the 14th to the 18th.

The training, held over three days from the 28th to the 30th at the Hwaseong Agricultural Technology Center's Agri-food Processing Research Hall, will feature representatives of local rice baking businesses as instructors.

The education program introduces various desserts using rice flour and operates in a hands-on format where participants practice the cooking process directly. The curriculum for each session includes ▲ Our Rice Yakgwa and Glutinous Rice Crispy Rolling Rice Cake ▲ Rice Salt Bread and Baked Glutinous Rice Cake ▲ Cooking practice of Coriyo Sandwich Cookies and Spoonable Cake.

Any Hwaseong citizen can participate, and those interested can apply through the Hwaseong City Integrated Reservation System.

Song Seong-ho, director of the Hwaseong Agricultural Technology Center, said, "Through this education, we will propose various dessert menus to promote the consumption of domestic rice and widely publicize the excellence and utilization methods of our rice," adding, "We will continue to strive to nurture talent who can lead rice consumption in the future."
