The police announced on the 14th that they have identified a suspect who threw raw eggs at Baek Hye-ryun, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, and are currently investigating.

A police official said at a regular press briefing that day, "Through CCTV and evidence analysis, we have identified one person," and added, "We are checking whether there are other suspects."
Earlier, on the 20th of last month, Rep. Baek was hit by a raw egg thrown from the opposite sidewalk during a press conference urging the swift dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol. Supporters of President Yoon holding Taegeukgi and the U.S. flag were present on the sidewalk. The police were unable to apprehend the suspect at the scene.
On the 7th, Rep. Baek said on Facebook, "There will be no leniency for the perpetrator, even in the interest of strict punishment against violence and political terrorism," and expressed hope that a thorough investigation would be conducted.
