Despite high inflation, the number of "Good Price" businesses in Busan that help ease the financial burden on residents is increasing significantly.

The Busan Metropolitan Government (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced on the 14th that 774 businesses have been designated as Good Price establishments for the first half of 2025.

"Good Price establishments" refer to businesses in the personal service sector that provide high-quality services at lower prices compared to other local businesses. The government and local authorities have been designating such businesses since 2011 to help stabilize personal service fees.

Busan's Good Price establishments increased by 113 compared to 661 in the first half of last year, thanks to the discovery of 103 new businesses in March, surpassing this year's goal of 750.

Despite challenges such as rising ingredient costs, Good Price establishments that participate in price stabilization have already exceeded this year's target of 750, with 103 new businesses identified during the "first half intensive management period" conducted in March through the active efforts of the city and district governments.

Among the newly designated Good Price establishments, 618 (79.9%) are in the food service sector, including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine, while 156 (20.1%) are in other personal services such as barbershops, beauty salons, and bathhouses.

By detailed business type: ▲Korean food accounts for 500 businesses (64.6%), the largest share; ▲Beauty salons 79 (10.2%); ▲Chinese food 51 (6.6%); ▲Other food services 40 (5.2%). The designated establishments also include a variety of everyday service businesses such as ▲bathhouses ▲beauty salons ▲bowling alleys ▲photo studios ▲car repair shops.

Busan plans to continue its revitalization policies, such as expanding support for participating businesses and collaborating with financial companies, while also working with the central government to discover various consumer events like discounts and promotions.

The list of Good Price establishments in Busan can be found on the city's official website. For consumer benefits such as the ▲Good Price establishment card program ▲Good Price establishment visit certification challenge, please refer to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Good Price establishment website.

Kim Bongcheol, Director of Digital Economy at Busan Metropolitan Government, said, "We will continue to develop measures to promote Good Price establishments for price stability and the stability of ordinary citizens' livelihoods, and we hope that citizens will actively use these newly designated Good Price establishments."
