Applications Accepted Until the 16th of Next Month
Targeting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province is recruiting companies to participate in a consulting program that supports obtaining 'INNOBIZ Certification' to strengthen the competitiveness of technology-innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province until the 16th of next month.
According to the province on the 14th, the 'INNOBIZ Certification System' is a technology innovation certification system that discovers SMEs with technological competitiveness and growth potential and provides linked support for R&D, sales channels, and funding. Upon certification, companies can receive practical benefits such as additional points in government projects, preferential policy funding, and export support. The certification is valid for three years.
This consulting program targets SMEs in the province preparing for INNOBIZ certification and operates as a customized program where professional consultants provide close support throughout the entire process.
The consulting is systematically divided into two stages according to the company's level of preparation: the 'General Type' (recruiting 20 companies) for those unfamiliar with the certification process, and the 'Advanced Type' (recruiting 10 companies) to prepare for on-site evaluation by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation.
The general consulting provides support for explaining the system, checking self-diagnosis items, diagnosing basic requirements, and preparing documents. The advanced consulting focuses on four major evaluation areas: technological innovation capability, technology commercialization capability, technological achievements, and management capability, offering strategic consulting to increase the likelihood of passing the actual certification. In addition, companies that receive consulting are given priority for selection in the 'Certification Acquisition Cost Support Program' (up to 700,000 KRW) scheduled for the second half of the year.
Last year, 60 companies received consulting, and 8 of them successfully obtained new certification. In particular, the effectiveness of the consulting has been proven by the increase in self-diagnosis scores before and after participation, raising expectations for this year's program.
This year, in addition to certification consulting, a new prototype production support program (scheduled for May) will be introduced for INNOBIZ-certified companies to promote technology commercialization, further accelerating the creation of a Jeonbuk-style technology innovation enterprise ecosystem.
Companies wishing to participate can check the business announcement on the INNOBIZ Association website and submit the application form, participation agreement, business registration certificate, and SME confirmation certificate by email. For more details, please contact the Jeonbuk Branch of the INNOBIZ Association.
Shin Wonsik, Director of the Future Advanced Industry Bureau of the province, said, "Technological capability is a core asset that determines a company's sustainable growth and future," and added, "Starting with INNOBIZ certification consulting, we will actively support promising companies in the province to grow into global small giants by linking certification acquisition cost support and technology commercialization assistance."
