"World Book and Copyright Day" Kyobo Bookstore Hosts Book, Exhibition, and Goods Events

The campaign will be centered around 'BookBOOK Enthusiasm,' which recommends books based on interest keywords. It offers customized reading exploration opportunities such as this year’s keyword book created around keywords like 'justice,' 'civic consciousness,' and 'nation,' a reading tendency test called 'Finding My Own Star,' and 'Sparkling Book Pairing,' a collection of books personally recommended by editors.

To commemorate the event, this year’s keyword book, The Essential Keywords ? People of Justice, will be sold exclusively and in limited quantities at Kyobo Bookstore. With book purchases, limited edition goods such as the 'Spring Water Bottle' (Amber, Purple, Gray) will be given as gifts, and through the shopping cart capture event 'Stars in My Cart,' prizes including iPads and coffee coupons will also be offered.

On the 23rd, Kyobo Bookstore’s offline stores nationwide will host the exhibition 'Text Hip, Capturing Trends.' It will showcase bookmark designs created using representative works of 12 authors and 27 recommended books. Major stores such as Gwanghwamun, Gangnam, and Jamsil will operate 'DIY Bookmark Experience Booths.' Customers who purchase event books will receive pencil goods engraved with the phrase "Reading itself is hip."

In collaboration with the Korea Copyright Protection Agency, a special eBook event highlighting the importance of copyright protection has also been prepared. During this event, eBooks will be available for rental at discounts of up to 90%. To promote the 'Protect Copyright, Right Now' campaign, university students are being recruited for the '2025 K-Copyright Guardians.' Participation in this event is available through the website.

A Kyobo Bookstore representative stated, "In commemoration of Book Day, we aimed to convey not just book sales but also the attitude and sensibility of reading, as well as the social value of reading in various ways." They added, "Especially this year, we planned an integrated campaign that respects readers’ tastes through curation and also incorporates the meaning of copyright protection."
