Active seniors refer to middle-aged individuals in their 50s and 60s. Although they were previously collectively referred to as the "elderly" and relatively neglected in the consumer market, they are emerging as a new major consumer group based on stable consumption patterns supported by advances in medical technology and assets accumulated after retirement.
A representative from Boramsangjo stated, "Services targeting seniors are shifting from merely providing convenience or functional aspects to considering customers' lifestyles and emotions together," adding, "Boramsangjo will continue to aim for value services that make customers' lives richer and more meaningful."
