Lee Byung-hun Starring 'Seungbu' Within the Complex? Singeomdan Royal Park City I Opens In-Complex Cinema

DK Asia announced on the 4th that it officially opened the exclusive movie theater "Royal Cinema Lounge," where residents can watch theatrical releases, within Shingeomdan Royal Park City I. The Royal Cinema Lounge is part of the community facilities within the complex, designed to allow residents to enjoy movies more conveniently. In particular, residents are expected to have a richer cultural life as they can watch the latest released movies at competitive prices.

Following the opening of a residents-only simultaneous screening theater at Shingeomdan Royal Park City II last March, the opening of the Royal Cinema Lounge has established Royal Park City as the first apartment complex in Incheon where residents can watch movies released simultaneously. Aiming to be a 5th generation high-end brand apartment, Royal Park City continuously introduces differentiated community facilities, providing residents with a premium living experience.

The theater opening ceremony was attended by Kang Beom-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon, along with Seo-gu council members Kim Hak-yeop and Hong Soon-seo, DK Asia CEO Jo Jae-man, and representatives from prominent civic groups in Incheon such as the Incheon Citizens' Coalition and Geomdan Citizens' Coalition, who celebrated the opening.

At the event, Mayor Kang Beom-seok congratulated, saying, "Following the first apartment in Incheon to provide three meals, now the first apartment where you can watch movies right in front of your home has been born," and added, "I sincerely congratulate Royal Park City, which is rewriting the history of apartments in Seo-gu, on the opening of its theater."

Mayor Kang also expressed, "I hope the Royal Cinema Lounge will establish itself as a differentiated residential space that enhances the quality of life for residents, and I look forward to creating a residential culture that develops together with the local community."

The opening day screening was the movie "The Match," based on the true story of the legends of Korean Go, 9-dan Cho Hun-hyun and 9-dan Lee Chang-ho. The film depicts Cho Hun-hyun's challenge to reclaim the top spot after losing to his disciple Lee Chang-ho, showcasing his innate competitive spirit. Since the movie is based on the real-life rivalry between the master and disciple, the protagonists' real names were used. Actor Lee Byung-hun plays Cho Hun-hyun, vividly recreating one of the most intense matches in Go history, generating high expectations.

Especially, residents expressed delight at screening a movie starring Lee Byung-hun in Royal Park City, known as "Lee Byung-hun's apartment," saying, "It's even more meaningful to watch a Lee Byung-hun movie in Lee Byung-hun's apartment." They noted that the selection of this film goes beyond simple movie viewing, serving as an opportunity to reexamine the special connection between the apartment brand and the actor, expressing their anticipation.

Lee Si-yong, chairman of the residents' representative meeting of Complex 1, commented on the theater opening, saying, "Since last year, DK Asia has been making every effort to upgrade landscaping by planting high-quality trees and creating parks throughout the complex even after residents moved in, showing sincerity in creating a 5th generation high-end apartment."

He added, "Additional landscaping upgrades, including playgrounds where children can play, are planned for this year," and stated, "The residents' representatives united in support of opening the simultaneous screening theater to further enhance the value of our apartment, resulting in the official opening of Incheon's first residents-only simultaneous screening theater."

The theaters are established in both Shingeomdan Royal Park City Complex 1 and Complex 2, designed as residents-only spaces, allowing residents to comfortably enjoy simultaneous theatrical releases in a private environment. Seat reservations can be easily made through a dedicated application, and movie ticket prices are set at 7,000 KRW, about one-third the price of private screening rooms on the market, offering residents a more reasonable price.

DK Asia CEO Jo Jae-man expressed gratitude regarding the theater opening, saying, "I sincerely thank the apartment representatives and residents who took the lead in increasing the apartment's value." He also said, "Recently, we collaborated with the International St. Mary's Hospital to provide a dedicated direct phone line for medical services and checkups for residents, and we have equipped various lifestyle convenience facilities, including opening Incheon's first 'Royal Cinema Lounge.'"

He continued, "At the time of subscription for Shingeomdan Royal Park City I, it ranked on Naver's real-time search keywords and attracted over 87,000 subscription accounts, showing great interest," and added, "DK Asia will continue to invest to make Royal Park City the best 5th generation high-end apartment in Korea and a leading apartment in the metropolitan area, striving to ensure residents feel pride and happiness in their daily lives."
