Pado Possesses Core Technologies Such as SSD Controller Design
Both Companies Expected to Create Synergy... Cooperation on 5th and 6th Generation Products
Data center semiconductor specialist 'Pado' announced on the 14th that it signed a strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Taiwan's leading solid state drive (SSD) module company 'ADATA' on the 2nd.

The signing ceremony held at ADATA headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan was attended by Nam Ihyun, CEO and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Pado, and Simon Chen, Chairman of ADATA, who finalized the agreement by signing the contract.
Accordingly, Pado will collaborate with ADATA on the business of the newly launched customer-tailored solution 'Flex SSD' this year. Flex SSD is an innovative business model that allows customers to freely select the components they need for manufacturing and mass production. It features a flexible collaboration model that provides everything from finished product supply to joint development, depending on the capabilities and requirements of the client company.
The two companies expect to create synergy through their cooperation. Pado is recognized for possessing differentiated core technologies throughout the entire SSD development and production process, including SSD controller design, firmware development, and manufacturing technology support. ADATA ranks second worldwide in the industrial and consumer SSD module sectors, with a strong production infrastructure and a global distribution network. Through this partnership with Pado, ADATA is expected to strengthen its competitiveness not only in the personal SSD sector but also in the enterprise SSD market. The two companies plan to gradually expand their cooperation scope starting with the current market-leading product, the fifth-generation enterprise SSD based on triple-level cell (TLC), extending to quad-level cell (QLC) based SSDs and the sixth-generation product lineup. Through this, they aim to secure market leadership and technological superiority.
