Hampyeong County in Jeonnam Province announced on the 13th that members of the Korea Chrysanthemum Club have been working to enhance their exhibition skills by learning chrysanthemum display techniques.
On the 12th, 34 members of the Korea Chrysanthemum Club from Hampyeong County visited Cheongnamdae in Cheongju, Chungbuk Province, where they learned about landscaping and exhibition techniques.
During the visit, the club members observed various landscaping displays featuring 124 types of ornamental trees and 143 species of wildflowers exhibited at Cheongnamdae, gaining in-depth knowledge about exhibition techniques that harmonize nature and art. They shared ideas and discussed practical display methods that can be applied to actual exhibitions, such as planting techniques and the use of decorations that suit the exhibition environment.
Based on the new exhibition techniques and creative landscaping methods learned during this field trip, the Chrysanthemum Club plans to present high-quality chrysanthemum bonsai at Hampyeong County’s representative autumn festival, the 'Korea Chrysanthemum Festival.'
Kim Haengmin, president of the Korea Chrysanthemum Club, said, "It was a valuable opportunity to acquire various landscaping techniques and practical skills," and added, "As the Korea Chrysanthemum Club continues to lead in chrysanthemum bonsai techniques, we will do our best for continuous development."
Moon Jeongmo, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, expressed, "I am grateful to the Chrysanthemum Club members who always enhance the reputation of Hampyeong County with beautiful chrysanthemum bonsai," and stated, "We will continue to actively support the development of chrysanthemum culture in the future."
