On the 13th, Hyundai Motor Group announced that it participated in 'WCX 2025,' North America's largest mobility technology exhibition, held from the 8th to the 10th (local time) at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Hyundai Motor Group established a partner pavilion and set up individual exhibition booths for each supplier to facilitate consultations with buyers. Twenty-four companies, including Dongil Machinery Industry, Sein I&D, Sungwon PF, Kwangsung Steel Pipe Industry, and Seonglim Advanced Industry, participated, achieving export consultation results worth $94 million (approximately 134.1 billion KRW). A total of 84 companies from major countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, and Saudi Arabia showed interest, with some suppliers receiving quotation requests and discussing specific contract schedules.
In addition, Hyundai Motor Group organized a special seminar to share strategies for small and medium-sized parts suppliers to develop overseas sales channels and exports. The consultations conducted on-site were aimed to lead to actual contracts. The special seminar covered topics such as policy trends in major countries including the United States, Korean government support projects, purchasing directions of global automakers and large parts companies (Tier 1 vendors), and characteristics and entry know-how for each overseas market.
Since 2018, Hyundai Motor Group has participated in global automotive parts exhibitions together with small and medium-sized parts suppliers. Through this, export contract achievements over the past seven years have reached 90 billion KRW. In the future, the group plans to jointly exhibit with small and medium-sized parts suppliers at global parts exhibitions held in India, Japan, and Germany.
A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "Although small and medium-sized parts suppliers possess excellent technology and manufacturing competitiveness, they face many difficulties in developing overseas sales channels due to relatively insufficient information and networks," adding, "We will continue joint overseas marketing events going forward."
