Visit to Germany's 'Bauma' Construction Machinery Exhibition
Examining the European Market and Identifying New Technology Trends
Doosan Group announced on the 13th that Chairman Park Jung-won visited '2025 Bauma,' Europe's largest construction machinery exhibition held in Munich, Germany, from the 7th, to examine the status of the European market and trends in new technologies.
Bauma, now in its 34th edition this year, is known as one of the world's top three construction machinery exhibitions alongside the CONEXPO in the United States and Intermat in France. This year, Bauma hosted over 3,000 companies from 57 countries, with an estimated 600,000 visitors attending the exhibition. Doosan Bobcat showcased a total of more than 40 products at this exhibition, including five new models such as the 1 to 2-ton mini excavators, which are the main products in the European market, as well as equipment applying advanced technologies like automation and electrification. Chairman Park said, "The European market is the second home market supporting Doosan Bobcat's sustained growth after North America," adding, "We must lead the market with Bobcat's unique innovative technologies."

Europe accounts for 15 to 20% of Doosan Bobcat's total sales, making it the second most important market in terms of sales proportion. Doosan Bobcat has maintained an average annual growth rate of 8% in the European market over the past four years through the introduction of new technologies and portfolio expansion. The European compact construction machinery market is estimated to be about 160,000 units annually, with excavators accounting for about half at 80,000 units, telehandlers about 40,000 units, and compact wheel loaders about 20,000 units. At this year's Bauma exhibition, Doosan Bobcat aims to expand its market share by showcasing 12 models, including four new models, in the compact excavator segment alone.
At the exhibition, Chairman Park toured booths of various global companies, including Doosan Bobcat. He showed particular interest in electrification, unmanned and remote equipment, and AI-based advanced technologies, which were the key themes of this year's exhibition, carefully examining competitors' products. Chairman Park stated, "Having confirmed the level of preparation that global top-tier construction machinery companies have made in line with the trends of automation and electrification, we need to assess our technologies against theirs and accelerate to get ahead," adding, "Based on our innovative DNA that introduced 'world-first' products such as skid loaders and fully electric construction equipment, let's continue technological innovation not only in electrification and automation but also in AI application."
