Gwangju Buk-gu Gifts 'Small Wedding Ceremony' to Young Couples

For those with household income at or below 130% of the median
Free support for wedding hall, album, and more

Gwangju Buk-gu has announced on the 13th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Uriduri Small Wedding' program, aimed at young couples who have postponed their weddings.

This project supports modest wedding ceremonies for young couples who have not been able to hold a wedding due to financial burdens. Buk-gu will cover all wedding-related expenses with a budget of 10 million KRW.

The target participants are (prospective) young couples aged 19 to 39 who reside in Buk-gu and meet the requirement of having a household income at or below 130% of the median. A total of three couples will be selected by the 30th, with priority given to those who have not been able to hold a wedding due to personal circumstances.

The selected couples will receive a free wedding package, including wedding hall rental, wedding attire rental, hair and makeup, photography, and album production.

Starting this year, Buk-gu will move away from the previous group wedding format and hold individual ceremonies. The weddings will take place at the 'CasadiLuce' wedding hall in Munheung-dong between September and October, with the couples' preferred dates given priority.

Couples wishing to apply should refer to the notice on the district office's website, fill out the application form, and submit it either in person to Usan General Social Welfare Center, the implementing agency, or via email.

District Mayor Moon In said, "I hope this project will become a small but meaningful new beginning for young people who had to postpone their weddings due to financial circumstances," and added, "We will continue to promote various youth support policies, including those related to childbirth and childcare."
