A Special "Science Museum Birthday Party" Featuring Exhibitions and Hands-On Experiences

Gwangju Science Museum held a special birthday party for children from multicultural families on the 12th, in collaboration with the Gwangsan-gu Family Center in Gwangju.

The "Birthday Party for Future Scientists" is part of the museum's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management practice program and is conducted by accepting applications from local social welfare organizations. This event specifically invited children from multicultural families affiliated with the Gwangsan-gu Family Center.

On this day, the children celebrated their birthdays with friends at the "Curiosity Playground" inside the Children's Science Museum, enjoyed lunch prepared by the museum, and participated in special educational programs and exhibition tours. The birthday gifts prepared by the museum brought smiles to the children's faces.

Lee Jaeyoung, a researcher at the Science Culture Office who organized the event, said, "I am happy to be able to help children from multicultural families enjoy equal opportunities for science education and experiences," adding, "We will continue to strive for the museum to communicate with citizens and promote the spread of science culture."

The "Birthday Party for Future Scientists" program, which started last year, combines birthday celebrations in the party room within the science exhibition space with science experiences, and has continued to attract the interest of both parents and children.
