Two Consecutive Wins at the National Corporate Basketball Federation Tournament

Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 13th that the 'Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team Supporters' made their first cheering appearance on the afternoon of the 12th during the second day of the '2025 National Corporate Basketball Federation Tournament' held at Gimcheon Indoor Gymnasium in Gimcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The Seodaemun-gu Sports Council recruited about 300 residents as 'Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team Supporters' last month, and among them, around 150 participated in this tournament.

They delivered enthusiastic cheers filled with shouts and applause that filled the gymnasium, and buoyed by this support, the Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team defeated Sacheon City Hall 70 to 53, achieving their second consecutive win in this tournament. Furthermore, starting from last year, they have continued a 14-game winning streak, signaling strong prospects for winning this tournament.

In the game that day, the Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team led consistently, starting the 1st quarter at 17:14, reaching 35:27 by the 2nd quarter, 56:33 by the 3rd quarter, and finishing with a final score of 70:53 in the 4th quarter.

Guard Lee Sojeong from Seodaemun-gu Office scored the highest among both teams with 17 points, and forward Yoo Hyunyi also scored double digits with 13 points. Four teams?Seodaemun-gu Office, Daegu Metropolitan City Hall, Sacheon City Hall, and Gimcheon City Hall?are participating in this tournament, competing in a full league format.

Following their victory over Daegu Metropolitan City Hall the previous day, the Seodaemun-gu Office Women's Basketball Team, having also defeated Sacheon City Hall, will challenge for an undefeated championship in the match against Gimcheon City Hall at 1 PM on the 13th.
