According to Lee's campaign on the 12th, the American foreign affairs magazine The Diplomat stated in its April cover story that "Lee has the highest chance of winning the presidential election." The Diplomat explained, "Striking the right balance is the core challenge of Lee's presidential strategy," adding, "He must maintain his progressive base with the 'anti-Yoon' (anti-Yoon Seok-yeol) wave and populist pledges while persuading skeptical centrists that the Democratic Party can govern responsibly."

The foreign media noted, "Lee led large-scale protests, condemned the policy direction of the previous Yoon Seok-yeol administration, and even engaged in hunger strikes," while adding, "This can energize his supporters, but on the other hand, it may alienate moderate voters who prioritize political stability over confrontation. He needs to imprint on the 'swing voters' that his government will focus on practical solutions rather than retaliation."

Furthermore, The Diplomat added that Lee is pursuing a centrist expansion strategy by promoting 'Muksanism,' a pragmatic economic policy, rather than ideology. The foreign media reported, "Lee has begun to reshape his public image," stating, "He is avoiding partisan attacks and focusing on 'Muksanism,' which centers on livelihood issues, and describes the Democratic Party as a centrist and conservative party."

Meanwhile, at a vision announcement press conference the previous day, Lee emphasized a pragmatic approach, saying, "Ideological and factional conflicts are trivial matters in the face of huge survival issues."
