Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) is accelerating welfare support for children from vulnerable groups, with warm donations continuing from various sectors of the local community.

According to Gwangju City on the 12th, the city signed a business agreement with Semix Co., Ltd. on the 11th to support the 'Vulnerable Children Support Project' and received a designated donation of 10 million KRW for Dream Start children. The donated funds will be distributed to 28 children in crisis for medical expenses, academy fees, and more.


In particular, Semix Co., Ltd. is a company that has consistently donated supplies to welfare organizations in the region, leading continuous social contribution and sharing practices.

In addition, East Valley Country Club (East Valley CC) also contributed 10 million KRW to support children from vulnerable groups.


The Social Cooperative Woorinarae also participated in supporting child welfare by donating 3 million KRW.


Furthermore, Janggyungsa Temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism donated 100 bags of rice (10 kg each) worth approximately 3 million KRW, taking the lead in sharing within the local community.

Kim Ji-seok, CEO of Semix Co., Ltd., said, "I am very honored to contribute to child welfare together with Gwangju City," adding, "We will continue to be a warm company that gives hope to children in need in the region."


Mayor Bang Se-hwan of Gwangju City said, "I deeply appreciate the various entities in the community who willingly share their hearts for children in need," and added, "Such warm private cooperation will be a great hope and a solid stepping stone for the future of our children."


Gwangju City plans to continuously discover various child welfare resources through public-private cooperation and strengthen customized support to eliminate welfare blind spots.
