Every year in mid-April, during the peak cherry blossom season, this place becomes crowded with many visitors and has established itself as a representative cherry blossom destination in the city.

According to Goyang Special City on the 12th, flower buds have begun to form on some cherry blossom trees, and a peak in visitors is expected around mid-month.

Goyang Dungi Park is a green resting area located at 148-19 Hwajeong-dong, Deogyang-gu, at the foot of Seongrasan Mountain, where about 700 king cherry trees are planted, creating a splendid flower path during the peak cherry blossom season every year. Especially in the evening and on weekends, it becomes bustling with groups of visitors such as families and couples.

Goyang City is making every effort in safety management tasks such as inspecting the circular walking paths and maintaining dead and hazardous trees to ensure citizens can enjoy a pleasant and safe spring flower outing.

A Goyang Special City official stated, "We are working to expand green spaces like Goyang Dungi Park close to citizens' living areas to create a city where people can enjoy the pleasures of nature in their daily lives," and added, "We hope visitors enjoy the charm unique to Goyang City by visiting the nearby food streets in Hwajeong-dong and Heungdo-dong along with cherry blossom viewing."
