Hampyeong-gun Hosts the 12th Eomdamyeon Residents' Day Event

Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it held the 12th 'Eomdamyeon Residents' Day Event' in Eomdamyeon.

On the 11th, about 500 people attended the 12th Eomdamyeon Residents' Day Event, organized by the Eomdamyeon Prosperity Association. Attendees included National Assembly member Lee Gaeho, Hampyeong-gun Mayor Lee Sangik, Jeollanam-do Council member Mo Jeonghwan, Hampyeong-gun Council Chairman Lee Namoh, heads of various institutions and social organizations, hometown associations from Seoul, and local residents.

The event provided an opportunity for Eomdamyeon residents to gather in one place, set aside their daily hardships, communicate, share a sense of unity, and strengthen the bonds of the local community.

Before the main event, the Eomdamyeon Nongak Troupe performed a Gilnori (traditional parade), and the female duo 'Kings Band' gave a performance, creating a lively atmosphere. The event continued with an opening ceremony, a reading of the Residents' Charter, performances by invited singers, and a residents' singing contest, among other diverse programs.

During the opening ceremony, congratulatory messages were delivered by many guests, including Hampyeong-gun Mayor Lee Sangik, and commendations were awarded to 13 individuals who have contributed to the development of county administration, nurturing local talent, and social service.

Hong Kyungi, president of the Eomdamyeon Prosperity Association, said, "It was a very meaningful time as communication and unity among residents deepened through Residents' Day. We will continue to create various opportunities for the local community to grow together."

Jeong Dongan, head of Eomdamyeon, stated, "Through this event, we strengthened friendships between villages and shared a precious time of unity among residents. I will do my best to continue communicating with residents and make Eomdamyeon a happy place."
