Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party, asserted that "those who have betrayed the constitution cannot defeat the criminal suspect Lee Jae-myung," citing his public support for the impeachment motion against former President Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the 12th, Ahn stated on Facebook, "The presidential impeachment was a decision by the Constitutional Court to protect the constitutional order of liberal democracy," adding, "I supported the impeachment and fulfilled my responsibility to uphold the constitution as a member of the National Assembly." He said, "Without considering political gains or losses, I stood proudly before the people to protect the values of liberal democracy," and emphasized, "As a constitutional institution, it was a natural duty to uphold the constitution."

He criticized former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, saying, "Those who opposed the impeachment until the end or wavered in their stance effectively endorsed the destruction of the constitutional order." Regarding Mayor Oh Se-hoon in particular, he pointed out, "Although he initially hinted at the necessity of impeachment, he ambiguously shifted his position in the face of political gains and losses," adding, "There was no sign of a responsible politician, only opportunistic calculations."

Ahn Cheol-soo expressed, "It is baseless hypocrisy for such people to come forward claiming to judge Lee Jae-myung," and stated, "Those who ignore the constitution have no right to speak of justice. Those who betray constitutional values cannot become president." He added, "The constitution is not a tool of power but the last bastion protecting the people and the nation," and "Those who betray the constitution have no future. They will only be defeated by the criminal suspect Lee Jae-myung."

On the previous day, Ahn also strongly opposed the candidacy of former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon. He claimed, "Former leader Han received the most benefits, having served as Minister of Justice under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration." Regarding former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, he said, "If a candidate attacked by the Myeong Tae-gyun risk advances to the general election, our party's victory will become difficult."

He continued, "As the saying goes, 'Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures,' in this emergency situation, we must find a candidate who can win," emphasizing, "I surpass candidate Lee Jae-myung in terms of morality and am an expert who can develop the artificial intelligence industry and resolve the medical crisis. Before entering politics, I practiced noblesse oblige by donating half of my assets," stressing that he should be the presidential candidate.
