Improving Awareness of Disabilities
and Realizing an Inclusive Society
Daegu Cyber University held a commemorative event on campus on the 10th to mark the 45th Day of Persons with Disabilities.
This meaningful event was jointly hosted by Daegu Cyber University and Daegu University to reflect on the significance of the Day of Persons with Disabilities and to provide a space for communication and empathy aimed at improving awareness of disabilities and realizing an inclusive society.
The gathering featured a variety of programs, including an assistive technology device exhibition and demonstration, a disability awareness improvement campaign, a sign language song and flash mob observation, as well as a special lecture and performance focused on disability awareness, which enlivened the event.
In particular, Daegu Cyber University also participated in the exhibition and experiential event hosted by Daegu University in celebration of the Day of Persons with Disabilities, further strengthening ties with the local community and contributing to the promotion of positive social awareness about disabilities.
Lee Geunyong, President of Daegu Cyber University, stated, "The Day of Persons with Disabilities is a time for all members of our society to recognize and respect each other's differences. We will continue our efforts to create an inclusive and respectful educational environment where everyone can pursue their dreams and potential without discrimination."
Through this event, participants shared understanding and empathy with one another, exchanging messages of hope for a happier society where everyone can thrive beyond disabilities.
