Goheung Yujaramyeon Reunites with Seoul Citizens

Yujaramyeon Tasting Event
to Be Held at Yeouido Hangang Park
from the 18th to the 20th

Goheung County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 11th that the "Goheung Yujaramyeon Tasting Event," which made its debut at last year’s Goheung Yuja Festival and enjoyed great popularity among many tourists, will be held from the 18th to 20th at the Neoreundeulpan area of Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul (near Store No. 3 by Mulbit Square). The event will run daily from 3 PM to 8 PM, and any citizen can enjoy free tastings of Yujaramyeon on site.

Originally, this event was scheduled to take place at Sejongro Park in Gwanghwamun last March, but due to the overlap with a sensitive social atmosphere at that time and location, smooth operation was deemed difficult and the event was inevitably postponed.

The tasting event will offer freshly cooked Yujaramyeon from a food truck, directly introducing citizens to a unique way to enjoy yuja, Goheung County’s signature specialty. In addition, a promotional booth for Goheung specialties will be operated alongside, aiming to showcase the appeal of Goheung’s agricultural and marine products as well as its tourism resources.

Goheung Yujaramyeon features a recipe developed in collaboration with Chef Lee Yuseok, characterized by a new flavor that combines the refreshing taste of Goheung-grown yuja with chicken broth. After its debut at last year’s Goheung Yuja Festival, this event was planned to gauge the response of Seoul citizens in earnest.

A county official stated, "We chose the open space of Hangang Park to create more touchpoints with citizens," adding, "Based on consumer feedback, we will further refine our commercialization direction and regional branding strategy."
