Gwangju Women's Family Foundation (CEO Kim Kyungrae) announced on the 11th that it participated in the "Relay Campaign for Raising Awareness of Population Issues," organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare, on the 9th.
This campaign is a nationwide relay campaign designed to draw social attention to the deepening population issues such as low birth rates and aging, and to spread a positive perception. The foundation participated in the campaign after being nominated by the Gwangju Social Service Center, and nominated Global Gwangju Broadcasting and Gwangju Cultural Foundation as the next participants.
Kim Kyungrae, CEO of the foundation, emphasized, "Population issues are not the problems of specific organizations or regions, but a critical challenge that all of us must solve together," and added, "Gwangju Women's Family Foundation is taking the lead in making Gwangju a city of opportunity that shines for tomorrow through effective childcare support policies and care services that citizens can truly feel."
As part of its response to population issues, the foundation is contributing to making Gwangju a city where it is good to have and raise children by carrying out various childcare support projects, including the operation of the Gwangju Aikiwoom Platform, Small Business Childcare Support Project, Emergency Hospital Escort Service for Sick Children, and Samsamoo Neighbor Care.
A foundation official stated, "Through this campaign, we aim to provide an opportunity to change perceptions about population issues and will actively work with citizens to create a sustainable future."
