Chungnam Teachers' Choir and Chungnam Arts High School Students Strengthen Their Commitment to Defending Dokdo The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education's Dokdo Visiting Group reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the territory on Dokdo Island in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day.

The Chungnam Office of Education announced on the 11th that, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation this year, it organized a Dokdo visiting delegation consisting of about 30 members, including the Chungnam Teachers' Choir and students from Chungnam Arts High School. The group visited Dokdo on the 10th to reaffirm their commitment to protecting the island.

On that day, the Dokdo delegation held a moment of silence in honor of the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives defending Dokdo. They also read the 'Dokdo Alliance' resolution, expressing and pledging the Chungnam education community's determination to safeguard Dokdo.

Following this, the Chungnam Teachers' Choir and students from Chungnam Arts High School performed various choral pieces, including 'Hollo Arirang' and 'Danjidongmaeng,' delivering their commitment to protect Dokdo and messages of hope through song.

Kim Samuel, a student from Chungnam Arts High School who participated in the Dokdo visit, said, "Singing 'Danjidongmaeng' on Dokdo, a song we sang at school for Dokdo Day last year, was a moving and heartwarming experience. I will not forget today's pledge and will put my love for Dokdo into practice in my daily life."

Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "I would like to thank everyone in the Dokdo delegation who connected peace and history from Chungnam to Dokdo. I hope that the melody of determination and commitment that resonated on Dokdo will serve as a catalyst for inspiring new resolutions and commitments in others."
