Hwaseong-si Provides Purchase Subsidies for 100 Electric Two-Wheelers This Year

Subsidies Range from 1.4 Million to 3 Million KRW Depending on Vehicle Type

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it will implement the 'Electric Two-Wheeler Distribution Project,' which provides subsidies for the purchase of electric two-wheelers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.

Hwaseong-si Provides Purchase Subsidies for 100 Electric Two-Wheelers This Year

The city plans to support the purchase of a total of 100 units this year with a budget of 160 million KRW. Of these, 70 units will be eligible for subsidies in the first half of the year.


Subsidy recipients must be citizens aged 16 or older who have continuously resided in Hwaseong City for more than one month as of the application date, or corporations registered with business locations in Hwaseong City. The maximum subsidy amounts are ▲140 million KRW for light vehicles ▲230 million KRW for small vehicles ▲270 million KRW for medium vehicles ▲300 million KRW for large vehicles ▲270 million KRW for other types.


Applicants should first check the subsidy amount by vehicle type and the remaining quantity on the 'Zero Emission Vehicle' integrated website. Then, after signing a purchase contract for an electric two-wheeler, they can apply online through the sales point or dealership.
