Collaboration to Enhance Customized Support and Career Education
for Youth Counseling and Out-of-School Youth
Park Chundeok, Director of the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Support Foundation, and Inje University are joining forces to enhance youth-tailored support and career education.
Employees of the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Counseling and Welfare Center and the Out-of-School Youth Support Center under the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Support Foundation are signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yongseon Jeong, head of the Glocal University Project at Inje University, in the foundation's conference room.
The Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Counseling and Welfare Center and the Out-of-School Youth Support Center, both under the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Support Foundation?a public institution of Gyeongsangnam-do?announced on the 11th that they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jung Yongseon, Head of the Glocal University Project at Inje University, at the foundation’s conference room at 2 p.m. on the 9th.
This agreement focuses on developing customized support programs for youth counseling, at-risk youth, and out-of-school youth, as well as expanding opportunities for self-reliance and education.
In particular, the partnership aims to establish a collaborative development model among the local community, university, and institutions, in connection with Inje University’s Glocal University vision, “All-City Campus.”
The foundation is currently preparing a youth competition related to the field of artificial intelligence (AI), and plans to form an advisory body centered around Inje University to secure expertise in this area.
The competition is expected to foster creativity and career competencies among youth, while also providing practical educational opportunities linked to the region’s future industries.
Park Chundeok, Director of the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Support Foundation, stated, “We will strengthen cooperation with universities so that young people can nurture their dreams in a better environment,” adding, “We aim to create a model case of a university growing together with the local community.”
Jung Yongseon, Professor at Inje University, emphasized, “This agreement is an important step for the healthy growth of youth and a practical action for community innovation.”
Meanwhile, with this agreement as a starting point, the two institutions plan to expand practical cooperation through joint program planning, professional personnel exchanges, and the development of regionally customized educational models.
