Song Mugyeong, the Vice Mayor of Gongju City, Chungnam, has marked his 100th day in office, achieving various municipal accomplishments through field-oriented practical administration.

According to Gongju City on the 11th, since his inauguration, Vice Mayor Song has been directly overseeing the city's key pending issues and has been implementing hands-on administration by actively engaging in the field.

He has personally inspected the progress of major priority projects such as the creation of Baekje Culture Village and the development of the citizen-friendly Geumgang Singwan Park, and has thoroughly analyzed the overall challenges and future direction of municipal administration.

In particular, he has frequently visited sites of major pending projects, including the lease-type smart agriculture complex and the Okryong-dong sewerage maintenance priority management area, to check on their progress and has sought practical alternatives through ongoing communication with stakeholders.

Vice Mayor Song has also been proactive in strengthening external cooperation by visiting the National Assembly, central government ministries, and the Chungnam Provincial Government in succession to secure budgets and reflect policies necessary to resolve Gongju City's major long-standing projects.

Additionally, he has shown deep interest in public design, dedicating efforts to establish a unique city image for Gongju by creating a Hanok Village that embodies the identity of the ancient capital of Baekje, thereby enhancing the city's historical character and dignity. This aims to create an urban space where history and culture are harmoniously integrated.

Vice Mayor Song stated, "I will continue to communicate with citizens and maintain the attitude that the answer lies in the field," and added, "I will work to enhance the dignity of Baekje's ancient capital Gongju and realize a municipal administration that citizens can truly feel."

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Song began his public service career in 1994 and is an administrative expert who has held key positions such as Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism at Chungnam Province and Head of the Public Institution Attraction Team.
