Combined Sales Exceed 300,000 Units in Just One Month
Yuhan Corporation announced on the 11th that the combined sales of 'Bepanthen Ointment' and 'Canesten,' for which it signed a domestic supply contract with Bayer Korea in February, surpassed 300,000 units within one month of co-promotion.
Bepanthen Ointment is the first non-steroidal dermatitis treatment containing dexpanthenol. It soothes sensitive skin and helps restore damaged skin barriers. It can be used for diaper rash in infants, acute and chronic dermatitis at all ages, wounds, wound healing after laser procedures, and sunburn.
Canesten, with clotrimazole as its main ingredient, is an antifungal treatment used for fungal infections on the skin surface and candidal vaginitis. It is available in various formulations such as cream, vaginal tablets, and powder. Canesten is the world's number one selling treatment for candidal vaginitis and vulvitis, establishing itself as a representative product for managing women's health in daily life.
Yuhan Corporation plans to leverage its excellent product quality along with its sales capabilities and distribution network to increase visibility within pharmacies and strengthen consumer sales inducement.
A Yuhan Corporation representative stated, "We plan to conduct extensive advertising targeting consumers starting in April," adding, "We will further raise consumer interest during the spring and summer seasons when demand increases to maintain the current positive momentum."
