[Special Stock] BioPlus Completes GMP Approval for Factory in China's Hainan Medical Tourism Zone Upward Trend

BioPlus is showing strong performance. This is attributed to obtaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification for its local factory located within the Hainan Medical Tourism Special Zone in China.

As of 9:24 AM on the 11th, BioPlus is trading at 7,500 KRW, up 4.9% compared to the previous day.

According to industry sources, BioPlus underwent a GMP on-site inspection for Class 2 medical devices at its Hainan local factory by Chinese health authorities and completed the final certification in March. With this GMP certification for the Hainan factory, BioPlus plans to supply products manufactured locally to the entire Chinese market.

In particular, BioPlus aims to accelerate mass production of its own cosmetic brand Bonyx and skin booster products, which have obtained manufacturing and sales permits for Class 2 medical devices, to target the Chinese market.

Additionally, the company is proceeding with GMP approval procedures for Class 3 medical devices and cosmetic production facilities at the same factory, which is expected to enable securing additional production lines.

Hwang Young-gi, Head of Global Business Division at BioPlus, stated, "We are encouraged to have secured a local GMP-certified production facility at a time when expectations for the lifting of the Hanhanryeong and opening of the Chinese market are growing," adding, "By producing BioPlus products locally and supplying them throughout China, this factory is expected to serve as a forward base for our entry into the Chinese market."

Furthermore, BioPlus is pursuing Class 3 medical device product approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China to expand its export items and announced plans to focus its business capabilities on increasing market share in China in the future.
