From Addressing Environmental Issues to Fostering Talent
Establishing a Cooperative System for Regional Coexistence
Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office and the Gwangju Employers Federation have joined forces to support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management for local companies and address youth employment issues.
On the 11th, the two organizations signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Gwangju, agreeing to establish a collaborative system for spreading environmentally friendly management culture and fostering talent in the environmental sector.

Under this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in various areas, including: ▲support and education for corporate ESG management ▲sharing information on environmental laws and systems ▲joint research on local environmental issues ▲hosting environmental campaigns and events ▲fostering environmental talent and supporting employment. In particular, they plan to pursue practical cooperation through the operation of working-level councils and expert exchanges.
Kim Youngwoo, head of the Environmental Office, said, "I would like to thank the Gwangju Employers Federation for joining us in addressing local environmental and youth employment issues, even in a challenging business climate," adding, "We will continue to do our best to cooperate for a sustainable local community."
