Financial Services Commission Signs Comprehensive Support Agreement with Busan City
The financial authorities will start providing financial inclusion and debt adjustment consultation services in Busan for residents in areas where visiting the Integrated Financial Support Center for Low-Income People is difficult.
On the afternoon of the 11th, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) announced that it signed a 'Comprehensive Support Business Agreement' with Busan City at the Government Seoul Office. This is part of the 'Plan to Enhance On-Site Operation of Comprehensive Support' announced on March 13, designed to help local residents more easily access combined financial and welfare support services on-site.
Through this business agreement, the FSC will launch a 'Visiting Comprehensive Support' service in Busan that provides financial inclusion and debt adjustment consultations. In Busan Metropolitan City, the 'Dormant Deposit Recovery' project will be actively promoted to help welfare support recipients recover dormant deposits.
Additionally, to ensure smooth coordination between the Integrated Financial Support Center for Low-Income People and administrative welfare centers, 'Intensive On-Site Training' will be conducted where staff members visit each other's institutions for training. Customized comprehensive support policy promotions tailored to Busan will also be carried out using local resources.
Kim Byung-hwan, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, stated, "For comprehensive support services to truly serve as a foundation for self-reliance and recovery for users, it is very important to cooperate with local governments that interact with residents on-site. Let us actively collaborate to support financial inclusion for low-income people."
Park Hyung-joon, Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, said, "We will make efforts and pay special attention to ensure that exemplary financial and welfare comprehensive support is well implemented in Busan so that local residents can enjoy tangible benefits from these policies."
