One-on-One Tutoring to Revitalize Local Businesses... Geumcheon-gu Supports Small Business Owners with Customized Consulting and Facility Improvement

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will promote customized consulting and facility improvement support projects for small business owners in the area to help stabilize management and foster independence.

On March 31, the district signed a business agreement with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation and decided to conduct customized consulting for about 25 small business stores starting in April.

Experts will visit the business sites directly to identify difficulties in operations and provide one-on-one consulting twice per store in various fields. Store owners can receive advice on marketing and customer management, menu development, hygiene environment improvement, taxation, and labor issues. Detailed management diagnosis and actionable plans will be presented for each field.

Among the stores that complete the consulting, only those with facility improvement plans can receive support for facility improvement costs such as signage, display cabinets, and interior up to a maximum of 1.55 million KRW. However, products for sale, raw materials, and facilities ordered or installed before the facility improvement selection are excluded.

The support targets are small business owners registered as business operators in Geumcheon-gu as of the application date, who lease business locations in Geumcheon-gu and operate stores in a store-type format. They must have been in business for more than one year and have annual sales of 100 million KRW or less in the past year.

Small business owners wishing to apply can do so from April 14 to 30 on the Seoul Metropolitan Government Self-Employment Support Center website. After on-site evaluation and document screening including annual sales decline rate and business lease deposit, support recipients will be selected on May 16. The selection results will be posted on the Geumcheon-gu Office website and notified individually.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "We have prepared the consulting project to strengthen the competitiveness of small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn and to help them become independent. We will continue to implement various policies to resolve the difficulties of small business owners and revitalize the local economy."

Last year, the district supported consulting and facility improvement costs for 21 local stores in areas such as promotion and store operation, receiving a satisfaction score of 98 from small business owners.
