2022 Business Agreement Marks Fourth Year
of Notable Social Contribution
A company located in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do, is drawing attention for continuing its small business support project in cooperation with the city for the fourth consecutive year.
On the 10th, Gwangmyeong City announced that starting from the 11th, it will accept applications for the 'Corporate Social Contribution LED Lighting Replacement Support Project' targeting small business owners in the area with annual sales under 500 million KRW.
This project is a social contribution initiative that Yeongjin ELE Co., Ltd., a local electrical and lighting specialist company, has been conducting annually since 2022 through a business agreement with the city. Yeongjin ELE replaces outdated lighting of small business owners with high-efficiency LED lighting free of charge. Until last year, the company has supported LED lighting replacements worth approximately 158 million KRW for a total of 100 businesses.
The project operates by the city selecting about 30 eligible businesses through on-site evaluations, after which the company provides lighting consulting, free LED lighting replacement, and two years of post-installation maintenance sequentially within the budget.
Businesses wishing to apply can visit the Gwangmyeong City Self-Employment Support Center or apply online through the center’s website. The city will proceed with the project on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted.
Kwon Ki-seong, CEO of Yeongjin ELE, stated, "Through social contribution activities for small business owners, we will support self-employed individuals to grow together with the local community."
