The donation ceremony was attended by S-OIL Executive Park Sunghoon, Ulsan Community Chest of Korea Secretary-General Yang Hoyoung, and other related officials. The donated funds will be used to support living and medical expenses for vulnerable households in Ulju-gun, where the S-OIL plant is located, as well as in the five districts of Ulsan City.
The living and medical expense support project provides temporary disaster relief and emergency aid to beneficiaries and low-income families who are exposed to blind spots in disaster, accident, and public assistance systems, helping them quickly overcome urgent situations. Applications can be made through local administrative welfare centers.
An S-OIL official stated, "We hope this can be of some help, however small, to neighbors in our community who are facing difficulties," and added, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
