Support for Business Funding, Business Model Advancement, and Team Projects
"We are looking for young people who create value in Busan." Selected individuals can receive up to 25 million KRW, and collaboration teams can receive up to 45 million KRW in support.
The city of Busan (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Local Creator Level-Up Project' until April 20 to respond to regional extinction and revitalize the local economy.
A local creator refers to an entrepreneur who creates business value by combining the natural and cultural characteristics of a region with innovative ideas. They are active in seven fields: regional values, local food, region-based manufacturing, region-specialized tourism, hub brands, digital cultural experiences, and nature-friendly activities.
This project was established to support the growth of young local creators in order to attract more residents to the area and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy in response to the crisis of regional extinction.
This year, along with the existing training programs, the plan is to support stable business expansion by strengthening connections with the local community and expanding networking opportunities.
The recruitment targets are young local creators aged between 18 and 39 who have been in business for less than seven years. The project will recruit seven individual companies led by young local creators and two collaboration teams composed mainly of young local creators, providing tailored strategies for support.
To strengthen local business content and expand sales channels, the project will provide support such as business and collaboration project funding, basic business diagnosis and consulting, business model advancement, and sales channel development linked to local festivals. Individuals can receive up to 25 million KRW, and collaboration teams can receive up to 45 million KRW.
In addition, support will be provided for business expansion through operating pop-up stores, holding local sales exhibitions, and developing local content. There will also be local business networking events and local content performance-sharing sessions.
Youth local creators who wish to participate should check the eligibility requirements and apply online through Busan Youth Jobs on the Busan Job Information Network website by midnight on April 20.
An information session for interested youth local creators will be held at 3 p.m. on the 11th at the Busan Economic Promotion Agency. For further details, please refer to the announcement on Busan Youth Jobs.
Kim Guiok, Director of Youth Industry-Academia Affairs at Busan City, said, "The core goal of this project is to actively support the settlement of young entrepreneurs in the region in response to the crisis of regional extinction and to revitalize the local economy through this," adding, "We will continue to help young people realize their potential in Busan."
