Korea's Largest Amateur Art Festival, Now More Diverse
Sole Sponsorship Since the First Event, Leading Model of ESG Management and Mecena Practice
The 30th Beautiful Noonbit Art Festival, the largest amateur art festival in Korea, was held from April 9 to 14 at Exhibition Halls 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Ulsan Culture & Arts Center.
The opening ceremony, held on the 9th at Exhibition Hall 1 of the Ulsan Culture & Arts Center, was attended by Lee Seongryong, Chairman of the Ulsan Metropolitan Council, Kim Bongseok, President of the Ulsan Branch of the Korean Fine Arts Association, and Kim Taegi, Vice President of S-OIL, among other key figures. S-OIL delivered a sponsorship donation of 50 million won to the Beautiful Noonbit Art Festival.
The Noonbit Art Festival, solely sponsored by S-OIL and hosted and organized by the Ulsan Fine Arts Association, has continued for 30 years. In 2008, it was awarded the "Art and Culture Contribution Award," and has established itself as a leading mecena art event representing not only Ulsan but also Korea.
S-OIL has continuously provided exclusive sponsorship since the first Noonbit Art Festival in 1996 through to this 30th edition, steadily practicing mecena activities for the development of the local community and the arts. As part of these efforts, the Noonbit Art Festival has become an important platform that offers creative opportunities for amateur artists and connects citizens with the arts.
S-OIL's sponsorship goes beyond simple support and is considered a representative example of cultural and social contribution under the vision of "creating a sustainable cultural ecosystem that grows together with the local community."
In addition to the Noonbit Art Festival, S-OIL continues to support a wide range of cultural and artistic activities, including classical performances, art exhibitions, and cultural support for children and youth. The company has established itself as a leading ESG company that fulfills its corporate social responsibility through various social contribution programs, such as community welfare, environmental protection, and support for vulnerable groups.
