Goryeong County (Governor Lee Namcheol) announced that it is holding the "2025 Goryeong Strawberry Hong Kong Promotion Event" in Hong Kong, one of the main export destinations for Goryeong strawberries, for seven days from the 5th to the 11th.
This event is organized by Wooridul N Farming Association Corporation, which has been designated as a specialized strawberry export demonstration complex, and is being held at five major high-end supermarkets in Hong Kong.
During the event, the superior sweetness, rich aroma, and safe production management system of Goryeong strawberries are being actively promoted. Local consumers are offered opportunities to directly experience the product through tasting events and various activities. The goal is to raise local awareness of Goryeong strawberries and expand their export market.
Wooridul N Farming Association Corporation, which is hosting this promotional event, has exported more than 18 tons of eco-friendly strawberries to Hong Kong, Vietnam, and other countries since December last year, and plans to increase export volumes annually in the future.
Governor Lee Namcheol stated that Goryeong County is continuously implementing various export support projects, such as supporting logistics costs for fresh agricultural product exports, enhancing export competitiveness, and promoting agricultural and food products overseas. Through these efforts, the county aims to expand the global market entry of Goryeong agricultural products and flexibly respond to the rapidly changing domestic and international agricultural market environment.
