Samsung C&T Signs Agreement with Jungbu Employment and Labor Office to Strengthen Construction Site Safety

Decided to Implement Smart Safety Technologies On-Site

Samsung C&T Construction Division announced on the 10th that it has signed a business agreement with the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s Central Regional Employment and Labor Office at the Raemian Songdo Station Centripol site in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, to strengthen safety at construction sites.

Through this agreement, Samsung C&T and the Central Employment and Labor Office agreed to actively explore and apply smart safety technologies at construction sites, including △inspection of construction equipment using drones △AI-based heavy equipment risk alert systems.

Above all, the management will lead direct safety activities such as construction site inspections to reinforce the spread of a safety culture. Both labor and management will participate together to create a safety culture and expand mutual cooperation to prevent wage arrears and protect workers' rights.

In line with policies to strengthen safety at construction sites, Samsung C&T is actively introducing smart safety technologies to enhance on-site safety management capabilities. In addition, key executives such as the CEO and CSO (Chief Safety Officer) are making efforts to foster a safety culture by conducting more than 30 site inspections over three months this year.
