Korea Hospital Public Relations Association Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Chapter Holds First Half-Year Seminar This Year

Seminar on "Hospital PR: Compete with Strategy and Planning"
to Be Held on June 27

The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Hospital Public Relations Association (Branch President Park Junghoon, Deputy Manager of Management Support at Daedong Hospital) will hold the "2025 First Half Hospital Public Relations Seminar" on Friday, June 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kyungdong Hall, 1st floor of the Main Lecture Building, Dong-A University Bumin Campus.

Since hosting its first public relations seminar at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital in 2008, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam branch has dedicated 17 years to nurturing practical PR experts in the local medical community. Over 150 leading medical institutions and related organizations in the region are active members.

Notably, in October last year, the branch demonstrated its elevated status by holding the second half seminar at "KIMES Busan 2024," the largest medical device and hospital equipment exhibition in the region, held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Haeundae.

This first half seminar, launched as the inaugural project of the newly formed branch executive team, is themed "Hospital PR: Compete with Strategy and Planning!" It features practical lectures in various fields, including medical information content design, on- and offline hospital marketing, medical advertising review, brand copywriting, and media content.

The seminar will proceed in the following order: ▲Will Patients Really See This? (Noh Kyungman, Director of Management Team, Hi Dental Clinic) ▲Hospitals Patients Seek: Practical PR Strategies (Lee Hyunju, PR Manager, Barunsesang Hospital) ▲Know Yourself and Your Enemy, Win Every Battle! Understanding Medical Advertising Review (Choi Cheonghee, Managing Attorney at Law Firm CNE / Former Medical Advertising Review Committee Member) ▲Copywriting Strategically: The Differences Among Advertising, Marketing, and Branding Copy (Han Sanggyun, Copywriter at Naver) ▲Beyond Common Sense and Grammar: Hospital Ads the Public Seeks Out (Lee Sunghun, Deputy CEO, DolgoraeYugwaedan).

Branch President Park Junghoon, who planned this seminar, stated, "We aimed to differentiate this seminar by selecting outstanding lecturers and topics essential for hospital PR practice, which are rarely accessible in the region. In particular, to address the inconvenience of previous seminars being held only in the afternoon, this year, for the first time, we planned a full-day seminar starting at 9 a.m. We expect this to enhance both participant satisfaction and the quality of lectures."

The seminar is open to PR, planning, international patient services, hospital management, administration, and related personnel not only from Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam but nationwide. All participants will receive a seminar booklet and souvenirs. After the seminar, there will be a second session, "Night of Hospital PR Professionals," providing dinner and networking opportunities.

Applications are open until June 20, with a first-come, first-served limit of 150 participants. For inquiries, contact the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam branch office or email.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Korea Hospital Public Relations Association (President Cho Hanmin, PR Team Leader at Hallym University Medical Center) currently has over 600 PR professionals from more than 130 hospitals nationwide as regular members. The association consistently holds annual seminars and online training. In particular, it contributes to the advancement of the medical field through various activities such as sharing the latest information in hospital PR?brand management, media relations, social media marketing, internal communication, design, video, website management?and improving job performance.
