Dankook University Hospital announced on the 9th that Professor Jae Won Cho of the Department of Surgery received the Encouragement Award at the 58th Annual Meeting of the Korean Society of Coloproctology.

At the conference held from the 4th to the 6th at the Gwangju Kimdaejung Convention Center, Professor Cho was awarded in the oral presentation category.

The presented paper was titled "Treatment Outcomes of Recurrent Peritoneal Metastasis Patients through Repeated Tumor Debulking Surgery and Intraperitoneal Hyperthermic Chemotherapy."

Professor Jae Won Cho explained, "This study evaluated the therapeutic potential of repeated tumor debulking surgery and intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy (CRS with HIPEC) for patients with peritoneal metastatic colorectal cancer.
