"Professional Engineers Conduct Safety Inspections by Field"
Gwangju Social Service Institute (President Kim Daesam) will conduct the '2025 Social Service Provider Safety Inspection Consulting' to ensure a safe environment for local social service providers.
On the 9th, Gwangju Social Service Institute announced that it will dispatch professional engineers to carry out free safety inspections to secure the safety of social service providers and prevent accidents.
To this end, the institute recently appointed engineers from the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korea Professional Engineers Association as the 'Gwangju Region Social Service Provider Safety Guardians.' During the first half of the year, they plan to recruit facilities wishing to participate and complete the safety inspections.
During this month, 100 small local facilities wishing for safety inspections will be selected. Engineers specializing in electricity, fire safety, gas, and construction will visit these sites to provide consulting, conducting thorough and professional inspections with on-site feedback.
In the second half of the year, evacuation maps will be produced and provided to all facilities that received safety inspections and wish to have them. Additionally, 60 selected small and vulnerable facilities will receive follow-up support such as disinfection and sterilization services. Detailed information can be found on the Gwangju Metropolitan City Social Service Institute website.
Kim Daesam, President of Gwangju Social Service Institute, stated, "Through customized safety consulting for each facility, we aim to establish a sustainable safety management system in the local community and enhance the quality of social services," adding, "As this year's project will be completed with one round in the first half, we look forward to much interest and participation."
