Improvement of Aging Restrooms and Classroom Floors
The Chungnam Office of Education announced on the 9th that it will provide 1.4 billion KRW in facility improvement project funds to 114 public and private kindergartens this year to create a pleasant educational environment.
For newly established kindergartens, 100 million KRW will be provided to two institutions; for classroom instruction and outdoor play facility improvement projects, 400 million KRW will be provided to 14 institutions; and for the improvement of aging restrooms and classroom floors, 498.8 million KRW will be provided to 50 institutions.
Additionally, 67.6 million KRW will be allocated to seven institutions for outdoor playground repairs, 198.54 million KRW to 20 institutions for facility repairs related to water leakage, and 200.96 million KRW to 21 institutions for safety-related facility improvement projects.
The provincial office of education will accept applications for facility improvement projects for public and private kindergartens by region, review them, and decide on funding support based on priority.
Yang Eunju, Director of Early Childhood Education and Welfare at the provincial office of education, emphasized, "Safety is the top priority in order to enhance the quality of early childhood education," and added, "We will continue to implement customized educational environment improvement projects that reflect the voices from the field, making every effort to create a safe and pleasant environment for early childhood education."
